Why should I use tallow?

Our products are made with grass-fed beef tallow, which closely resembles the natural oils in human skin, allowing it to deeply moisturise and promote healthy, balanced skin. Where is your tallow sourced?

Our 100% grass-fed and finished beef tallow is sourced from a family owned farm in NSW. The cows graze freely on nutrient-rich pastures and are naturally free from antibiotics, hormones and vaccines. The farm uses ethical and sustainable farming practices.

Can each batch vary slightly?

Yes, each batch of our Meado Tallow Balm may vary slightly in texture, color, or scent. Since our product is made from natural ingredients, subtle variations can occur. These variations are a testament to the authentic, small batch made nature of our products, and do not affect its effectiveness. We believe that these differences reflect the unique beauty of nature and the care we put into each batch.

What do your products smell like?

Tallow undergoes multiple renderings to minimise its natural earthy aroma. Although it remains a 100% natural product, our Balm is lightly scented with a subtle floral fragrance, while our Butter is infused with sweet orange oil for a pleasant subtle citrus scent.

What if my product melts in transit?

While we take great care in packaging our products to ensure it reaches you safely, tallow can soften or melt if exposed to high temperatures during transit. If your balm arrives in a softened or melted state, don't worry—it is still perfectly safe and effective to use! Simply allow it to cool at room temperature, and it will return to its solid form. You may notice a slight change in texture, but the balm’s quality and benefits remain unchanged.
